Serving Ideas from My Customers I have received so many ideas from you fruitcake lovers on how you like to eat your cake that I decided to post some of them on my website. If you have a special way in which you like to serve your cake, send me an email and I will be happy to add it to the list. "We made Ice Cream Sandwiches at a progressive dinner party one evening, what a hit it was. Take two nicely sliced pieces of cake and fill the centre with French vanilla Ice Cream. May be eaten by hand or served on a desert plate and drizzled with butterscotch syrup or heated chocolate sauce." "I love to eat my cake with Deven's or Bird's Custard. It's especially good when the custard is served warm." "I served the cake at a dinner party in fancy crystal dishes with heated Grand Marnier drizzled over the top and a dollop of fresh whipped cream. What a success it was!" "Makes a lovely dessert served with a nice cup of tea and a slice of old cheddar cheese." "My cake was so moist I served it as a Christmas pudding with hot rum sauce." "We had our cake with vanilla ice cream and real maple syrup. The only problem we had was that we ate the entire cake in one sitting!" "I like to eat my cake with warm rice pudding and cinnamon." "I put marzipan and white icing on the cake, it was incredible. I think the rum soaking had a little to do with the delicious flavour."
